Meet Deacon Mark Christoph
Greetings! Thank you for stopping by!! I am a Deacon in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. I am married to Lyn Christoph, and we have two grown children, Emily and Andrew. I also have two grandchildren Owen 3 and Miles 0. I love doing what I am doing especially combining my love of teaching with my love for God. I am so blessed to be able to share my faith with young people as a teacher and faith mentor!
I enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1979 and specialized in Radio Communications and obtained the rank of Radioman 2nd Class Petty Officer. I Studied Electrical Engineering Technology at University of Houston. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in secondary education from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 1989. In 1993 I received a General Lines and Group 1 Insurance Agents License from the State of Texas and became a partner/agent in a family owned Insurance Agency in Corpus Christi. I completed my Pastoral Theology Degree in 2016 from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I was ordained a Deacon in 2016 and assigned to Sacred Heart Church Mathis, Texas. I completed my Associates of Applied Science Degrees in Building Maintenance, and Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, and Refrigeration in 2023-24.
My hobbies include raising alpacas, sheep, turkeys, chickens, ducks and numerous cats and guardian dogs. I love electronics and I hold a FCC Radio Amateur Extra Radio license K5DCN. My Favorite food is Indian cuisine. Curry is the bomb! My favorite saints are St. Francis, St. Stephen, St. Lawrence, St. Faustina, St. Polycarp, St. Ignatius of Antioch, but most of all Our Lady of Fatima!

I received my teaching credentials from Texas A&M in 1989. I completed my Pastoral Degree in 2016 from the University of St. Thomas in 2016, and I was ordained a Deacon in 2016.
