Complete the discussion questions before the video. After the video you can complete the Exit Ticket. Make sure both are turned in before tomorrow.

Use the provided resources as a base for your endangered/threatened animal profile. Be sure to choose a species found in a Texas border county that is marked in the excel sheet as (E) endangered or (T) threatened. Make sure that you are using trusted sources as discussed in one of our early units. Academic and government websites are great examples of reliable research sources. If you are having trouble with sources, talk to me in class. Be creative in your display of information. We want our section to be attractive. Construction paper, glue, and markers are some of the supplies available to you here at school. Feel free to bring other supplies to work on your boards/projects. This will be a test grade so be sure to take full advantage of your class time to get this done. You must write the information in your own words. Do not copy and paste.
Information to include in your profile
Scientific and common name of species
pictures of species (can be printed but full points will be given to drawn/created pictures)
description of diet and or hunting habits 
information on what is causing the threatened/endangered status
are there solutions to improving the threatened/endangered status?
migration patterns
conservation efforts if any 
general habitat info
provide me with a list of sources used to do your research. This will be part of your grade but may not necessarily be included on the front of the board.

This is the worksheet that we worked on in class Wednesday. It was due Thursday for those of us in class. You are using the GPE formula as well as the KE formula to solve these word problems.

Using the formula for gravitational potential energy, solve the included word problems. The formula was included in the notes we took Tuesday.

The attached worksheet is your assignment today. I have provided an example on this copy. If you are on campus you need to copy the examples onto you paper. You will notice that #8 is set up for you but you still need to solve for a. Make sure you show your work.
Skip #12 and #13. If you are working from home use dochub to edit the pdf and show your work to the best of your ability.

Problems 1 and 6 have been worked out for you. Use these enables to get through the worksheet. You’ll notice formulas are provided for each problem. If you are on campus you can turn in the paper copy handed to you in class.
