Deacon Mark Christoph

Hello! My name is Deacon Mark, and I have been teaching for six years and at Bishop Garriga Middle School for nearly two years, where I instruct 6th Grade Science and 8th Grade Theology. I hold a Degree in Pastoral Theology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I was ordained in 2016. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M Corpus Christi certified in 6-12th grade Earth Science and Life Science. Alongside my teaching career, I have an Associates of Applied Science in Building Maintenance and HVAC/R from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me enjoying my hobbies, which include alpaca ranching and amateur radio. I also have a passion for food, particularly Indian cuisine, Mexican dishes, and a good Texas steak!

Greetings! Thank you for stopping by!! I am a Deacon in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. I am married to Lyn and we have two grown children, Emily and Andrew. I also have two grandchildren Owen 3 and Miles 0. I love doing what I am doing especially combining my love of teaching with my love for God. I am so blessed to be able to share my faith with young people, by being a good role model and mentor to those desiring a closer relationship with the Lord. I received my teaching credentials from Texas A&M in 1989. I completed my Pastoral Degree in 2016 from the University of St. Thomas in 2016, and I was ordained a Deacon in 2016.
